Cocoa has a number of health benefits and its powdered version is guilt-free! A tablespoon of cocoa powder only accounts for 15 calories, and contains 1 gram of fiber and 1 gram of protein. Cocoa powder is a great addition to any dish that you want to make chocolaty. Include it in your protein shakes, yogurt, and baked goods. Create a delicious peanut butter chocolate shake by blending a frozen banana, baking cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder, skim milk, and peanut butter (or your choice of peanut butter powder). When purchasing cocoa powder for your pantry, look for 100% cocoa on the ingredient label with no added sugars.
