Dr. Jon Schram* is a bariatric and general surgeon with more than 19 years of general surgical experience. He serves as a bariatric surgeon at Forest Health Medical Center in southeast Michigan, and in Holland, Michigan.
Upon completion of a BS degree at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Dr. Schram received his MD degree in 1985 from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his internship and surgical residency at Michigan State University/ Butterworth Hospital.
Dr. Schram has numerous medical affiliations, including Ottawa County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and Michigan State Medical Society. He has been a clinical instructor in the Department of Surgery at Michigan State University and has been an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor for twelve years.
Dr. Schram is licensed in the state of Michigan and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
